Update 19/06/2021

We planned to resume our Saturday workshops at St  Johns starting July 3rd. HOWEVER as the Government announce on the 14th. June the restrictions have been extended for another 4 weeks.  So on Saturday 3rd July we will be running the workshop via ZOOM 10:00 till 12:00.  The subject for discussion will be 'your favourite script(s) and why? '  please bring some of your example work.

The committee are planning to resume St Johns workshops ASAP we will keep you posted.

As you will see from the Diary we have arranged normal Saturday workshop meetings for 2021.  However we will not be able to meet at St Johns so we are offering virtual meetings via ZOOM.   Our workshops will be a general get together in an effort to bring the society members back to some form of normality.  We will continue in this vane until the authorities allow us to meet as we used to do.

The object for these meetings will be to encourage you to return to calligraphy, but the general theme for the workshops will be to come up with thoughts and ideas for pieces for our exhibition at Hebden Bridge in May.  We want as many pieces as possible to produce a real show.  Join us on the first Saturday in each month from 10:00 till noon.  An email will be sent out to all members with logon in details, you do not need to have a ZOOM user ID only a PC with access to the internet and a camera attached.

    PLEASE try and join us,

there will be no pressure to produce work,

you can ask as many questions as you like and

you don't have to stay for the full session.
